Hi,
After a few weeks of not pulling from the git repo, I recently did
so. Came across the LINKER_RESOLVES_LIBRARY_DEPENDENCIES assumption:
/usr/bin/ld: gmime-filter-reply.o: undefined reference to symbol
'g_mime_filter_set_size' (discussed by Carl on Mon Apr 26).
Setting LINKER_RESOLVES_LIBRARY_DEPENDENCIES to "0" in Makefile.config
corrected the problem for me.
I'm on 64-bit Fedora 13 with standard Fedora "devel" packages:
LSB Version: :core-4.0-amd64:core-4.0-noarch:graphics-4.0-amd64:graphics-4.0-noarch:printing-4.0-amd64:printing-4.0-noarch
Distributor ID: Fedora
Description: Fedora release 13 (Goddard)
Release: 13
Codename: Goddard
uname -a:
Linux fritz.cold.home 2.6.33.5-124.fc13.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Jun 11 09:38:12 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
binutils is: binutils-2.20.51.0.2-20.fc13.x86_64
ld --version is: GNU ld version 2.20.51.0.2-20.fc13 20091009
My copy of the git repository is at commit 6607fd65b1da6fbd9e617ff1b6d2a1a25c469333.
It's not obvious to me that there are configure-time options to change
this behavior. Please let me know if there is more I can do to help
troubleshoot this.
Thanks!
