Build failure on OSX

Good morning,
I am still having issues building notmuch from source on OSX.
I'm unfortunately not sure if it is something specific to my setup or
not.
I am running latest git version of notmuch, osx 10.9.
Xapian and talloc are from homebrew.
If I manually edit the makefile to remove -lintl everything builds ok.
I'm not sure what the intl library is or does so not sure if something
else is subtly broken.
Can anyone else confirm the issue?
